Camping Trailer Stolen from MGC Boy Scouts

Boy Scout Troop 61 which is based out of the MGC parish recently had their trailer stolen. Fortunately it was recovered by police.

WITI-TV, MILWAUKEE - When the $7,000 trailer disappeared, many scouts were left without a way to move their camping gear to the northern Wisconsin camping site. Milwaukee Police have made an arrest in a recent theft of a moving trailer used by Boy Scout Troop 61.Boy Scout Troop 61 used the 14 ft. dual axle trailer was used for moving camping gear. After the trailer was stolen all that was left was a pad lock, and surveillance footage.Moments after FOX6 aired an initial story about the theft, Milwaukee Police got a tip that led to an arrest. When the trailer was returned, the Boy Scouts lettering and logo were painted over. The trailer received minor damage during the initial crime.

The trailer is in Sussex awaiting repairs, but scout leaders are hopeful it will be repaired in time for their big camping trip in northern Wisconsin.
